Terms and Conditions of Sale for Retail Customers

  1. CANCELLATION - Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you are entitled to cancel your order and receive a full refund provided (1) you notify us in writing by post, fax or e-mail within 7 working days of receiving your goods and (2) you return the goods to us in good condition and at your own expense within 28 days of receiving them. Please note that the right of cancellation applies only to standard items listed in our catalogue, and does not apply to goods which have been cut to size, made to size or specially ordered on your behalf.
  2. PAYMENT - Strictly payment with order except by arrangement. We accept cheque, cash, postal order, Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, or Maestro.
  3. DELIVERY SERVICES - All website orders will be despatched on a Standard Delivery service. This normally takes a maximum of 5-7 working days delivery England/Wales or 7-10 working days delivery in Central/Northern Scotland.
  4. CARRIAGE & PACKING CHARGES: The cost of carriage is determined by the weight of goods being ordered, and the final delivery address. The carriage charge is shown in the shopping basket when placing an order. Carriage charge applies on total order value after all discounts. These rates apply to deliveries on UK mainland only, and special rates may apply elsewhere.
  5. DESPATCH & DELIVERY - We will always try to meet our customers' requirements as to time, but we do not undertake to despatch or deliver goods on or before any specified date, and we are under no liability for loss or damage caused by delay in despatching or delivering goods, or by failure to despatch or deliver goods on or before any specified date.
  6. DAMAGE OR SHORTAGE ON RECEIPT - If there is any evidence of damage either to the outer packaging, or to the contents, the carriers' delivery sheet should be signed as "DAMAGED". Please do not mark the carriers' sheet "Unexamined" as we may not be able to register any claim for damage or shortage unless the problem is noted at the time of delivery. If goods are left without a signature at customer's request, then this is strictly at customer's risk and we may not be able to accept any claim for loss, shortage or damage. Any claim for loss, shortage or damage should please be notified to us in writing within three days of receipt.
  7. SIZES - All sizes and thicknesses quoted are nominal, and any equivalents given are only approximate.
  8. PRICES - We do our utmost to hold our prices at least during the dates that our current catalogue is effective, but all prices are nevertheless subject to variation without notice. If an order is received for goods the price of which has increased since you received your catalogue, we will notify you immediately and if you prefer not to purchase at the higher price your money will be refunded.
  9. DEFECTIVE GOODS - We will refund remittances in full, including the cost of return postage, if goods are found to be defective and returned to us within 28 days of receipt. Customers are asked to inspect their goods on arrival and to notify us as soon as possible of any defects.
  10. DATA PROTECTION - Under the Data Protection Act, all companies and individuals which store customer information on computer are obliged to explain what this information is to be used for. TW Plastics will be storing information about you to (1) provide you with an effective mail order service (2) update and improve our customer records (3) inform you of other products and services which may be of interest to you. Also, further offers from reputable and carefully selected organisations may be made to you.
